Teachers in the Childcare Centre

Number of children in the childcare centre, and number of adults looking after them are important. Do babies receive individual attention and care? Are adults with the children at all times? The National Association for the Education of Young Children recommends that day-care centers have only 6 to 8 children in an infant group, 6 to 12 in a group of 1-year-olds, 8 to 14 in a group of 2-year-olds, and no more than 20 children aged 3 to 5 together. For a group of any age, these standards recommend that at least two adult caregivers be present
